What would you do?

The game of golf elicits passion, friendship, giving and the beauty of nature just name a few. In my life time in the game, I have made life long friends that continue to give me unconditional support and instill the values of honor and sportsmanship in all thing golf and business. It is a refreshing community to be a part of after many years in corporate America.
This year, has been an eye opening experience as I get the FORE! Jack & Jill Golf Marathon Series going across the country. Partnering with the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation has been a joy. Their mission of granting WOW! Experiences to families in the midst of late stage terminal cancer has shown me the true love and determination these families have despite their circumstances. Mom’s and Dad’s in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who have been given a late stage diagnosis are going to miss out on those moments in life that we all look forward to: first dates, teaching kids to drive, proms, sending kids off to college, wedding and grandchildren.
What the Jack and Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation does by giving children and their parents a break from the routines of late stage cancer is remarkable. The chance to be on the laughter and memories side of cancer is what they are all about. Taking families away to spend time together on a VIP vacation is something these parents and children can’t even fathom, as they are consumed in their fight. These WOW! Experiences are just what they need and talking to them afterwards is amazing.
The FORE! Jack & Jill Golf Marathon Series is raising funds through avid golfers taking on a challenge of seeing how many holes they can play in a day. Each player raises pledges of $1, $2 or $5 per hole from friends, family and business partners to make more WOW! Experiences possible.
Every event is held at a renowned golf facility and each golfer is treated to many luxuries during the day. The payoff is huge, as I’ve hear over 150 times this year “I am so grateful for the opportunity to have a part in helping this foundation and I can’t wait until next year.”.
In golf, we have a two fold mission and that is to love the game and participate in charitable endeavors to give back to others. It’s a wonderful process that is driven from the PGA Tour and the PGA Of America, all the way down to the 20 handicap that has the same opportunity to make a difference as his heroes on tour do.
